What is a Home Inspection?

A home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property, performed for a fee, which is designed to identify defects within specific systems and components. The goal is to judge the house from a structural and safety standpoint, as well as ensuring you’re buying a hazard-free, up-to-code property that’s a good investment of your hard earned money. The scope of work may be modified by the Client and Inspector prior to the inspection process.


What information is included in my report?

You will receive a comprehensive written report with numerous digital photos describing any defects and suggested course of action. In addition, the report will also detail the overall condition of the home beyond anything noted as a defect.

What does an inspection cost and how long does it take?

Costs vary for services performed for a variety of reasons such as home size, age of the home and overall condition of the dwelling. Additional costs may include testing for water quality, radon, Time for services rendered can vary anywhere from 2 or more hours.
Does our relationship start and end on the day of inspection?
No,  I am prepared to answer your questions during and well after the inspection process.  I also have an extensive list of contractor professionals in every field at my disposal.
